A masjid is at the heart of any local Muslim community. It provides a place for its worshippers to pray and contemplate as well as being a hub for educational programmes and other everyday services.
The role of the masjid is to help people learn more about Islam and to nurture their moral and spiritual development. In a rural village a masjid is much more than a place for worship. Masjids are a symbol for hope and the heart of community life.
The county of Cornwall covers an area of 1370 square miles. Alhamdulillah we are the only masjid in Cornwall.
We are determined to promote a friendly atmosphere of a peaceful society through dialogue and discussions amongst the community and religious groups.
What is Islam?
The word “ISLAM” in simple terms means to “Submit to god”. The message of Islam is the same message given to all the prophets from Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus to the final prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon them all): “There is only one god (Allah)”.

All praise is due to Allah, we here at Cornwall Islamic Community Centre are extremely proud to be actively supporting our own community as well as providing emergency support internationally to those in need.
However, our mission has no deadline, it is 24/7! We need your help to continue our work.
Past campaigns have enabled us to provide water wells in countries such as Chad and build schools for the extremely poor children. As a non-profit organization, though, we completely rely on community support. None of our efforts would be possible without the help of donors like you, volunteers, and supportive community members.
